Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to established protocols.
- Monitor and document patient vitals and clinical progress throughout the shift.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians to ensure holistic care.
- Participate in shift handovers and ensure continuity of care for all assigned patients.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and safety regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
Qualifications
- Active RN License to practice in the state of Minnesota.
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree (or equivalent) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Physical stamina to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Computer literacy in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
