Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Respond to emergencies and critical care situations with composure and technical skill.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing unit rounds.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
- Graduated from an accredited nursing school within the last 12 months (New Graduate).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and families.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
