Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care under the supervision of senior nursing staff.
- Monitor patient health status by performing physical exams and recording vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Document patient care services using electronic health records accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Respond to patient calls and emergency situations promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
