Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for diverse patient populations
- Administer medications and treatments with precise documentation in EHR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during rapid response situations and emergency interventions
- Monitor and interpret patient vitals, lab results, and diagnostic imaging
- Provide patient/family education on disease management and discharge planning
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
- Supervise LPNs and CNAs while maintaining unit safety standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys
Qualifications
- Active AZ RN license with minimum 2 years acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (or obtain within 90 days)
- Expertise in EHR systems with Epic or Cerner experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills for rapid assessment of deteriorating patients
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively during emergencies
- Valid Arizona driver's license for occasional transport needs
- Flexibility to rotate between med-surg, ICU, and telemetry units
- Spanish bilingual proficiency highly desirable
