As a Night Shift RN at Mountain Medical Group, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the health and safety of our patients during the critical night hours. We are looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the clinical expertise to handle complex patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions continuously throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Assess and respond to critical changes in patient status, initiating emergency protocols when necessary.
- Document patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless patient continuity of care.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding their treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit in compliance with hospital safety standards.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting (Critical Care or Telemetry preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-volume night shift team.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts as required by hospital staffing needs.
