Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessment and care planning for overnight patients
- Administer medications and treatments with precise documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for critical interventions
- Monitor and respond to emergency situations during night hours
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Epic systems
- Lead patient education and discharge planning for night-shift admissions
- Mentor new nurses and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado (or compact state with quick endorsement)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience (night shift preferred)
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proficiency in electronic health documentation systems
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced nocturnal care environments
