Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and health status, documenting changes immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and update individualized patient care plans.
- Perform thorough patient assessments and triage during peak night hours to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and code blue activations with a calm, decisive approach.
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions to promote post-discharge wellness.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as required for patient safety.
