Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across diverse medical units during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while adhering to safety protocols
- Monitor patient conditions using advanced monitoring systems and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Mentor new staff and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina RN license or compact state eligibility
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced overnight care environments
