Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems, needs, and physical and psychosocial conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or licensed nurse practitioners.
- Monitor patient vital signs and intervene immediately in case of emergency or sudden changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and clinical notes.
- Adhere to all hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards (CMS, Joint Commission).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience (Critical Care or Telemetry preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team during night shifts.
