Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess patient needs, administer medications, and monitor vital signs during the night shift.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations with a calm and decisive manner.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, post-care instructions, and disease management.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred; new graduates are considered if they have a strong clinical rotation background.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and medical equipment.
