Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and provide immediate intervention when necessary.
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Wisconsin.
- BLS and ACLS certification required (PALS preferred for pediatric units).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) including weekends and holidays.
