Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to develop and update patient care plans.
- Respond immediately to patient calls and emergencies to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding their treatment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or critical care setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Proven ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations and hospital safety policies.
