Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through history taking, physical examinations, and clinical data analysis.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans to meet the diverse needs of patients.
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatment, alerting physicians to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, pharmacists, and therapists, to ensure holistic care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
