Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition immediately to the nursing supervisor or physician.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of doctors, therapists, and social workers to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease processes, medication management, and discharge planning.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California (CA RN License).
- Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers (American Heart Association).
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred but not required for new hires.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
