Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe, record, and report patient symptoms and changes in medical conditions.
- Administer Care: Perform basic medical care, including wound dressing changes, administering medications, and providing treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Assist Procedures: Support physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations, treatments, and minor surgical procedures.
- Patient Education: Teach patients and their families how to manage their illness or injury, including home care instructions and medication administration.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting vital signs, medications administered, and responses to treatment.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly and calmly to medical emergencies, initiating basic life support if necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Washington State Department of Health.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Compassion: Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others during stressful situations.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
