Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in accordance with nursing standards and protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Document patient care services in medical records accurately and timely.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist in code situations when required.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
