Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient information accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Respond immediately to clinical emergencies and ensure a safe environment for all.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and shift handovers.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of patient safety and care standards.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable for on-call duties).
