Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and social workers to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and legible medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and home care instructions.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to all infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Colorado.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
