Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and clinical status, documenting all observations accurately in electronic health records.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Respond to emergent situations promptly, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Michigan.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
