Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical guidelines.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond swiftly to any changes in condition or emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
