Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and intervention to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
- Document patient health information accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred for high-acuity units.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population.
- Proficiency with computerized charting systems.
