Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough health assessments, develop individualized care plans, and monitor patient progress to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and medication administration records (MAR).
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital policies and legal standards.
- Collaborative Care: Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient care transitions.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to critical changes in patient conditions and initiate appropriate interventions and emergency procedures.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, post-discharge care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; PALS or TNCC preferred based on unit.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with electronic health record systems.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet staffing needs.
- Soft Skills: Empathy, patience, and a patient-centered approach to care.
