Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care plans, progress notes, and clinical data accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care instructions and disease management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide immediate assistance as needed.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods as required by the role.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
