Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in strict adherence to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to therapies, initiating emergency interventions when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and care activities in the electronic health record.
- Provide patient and family education regarding cardiac health, medication management, and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred (New graduates with exceptional clinical rotation experience may be considered).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
