Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols, ensuring patient safety and accuracy.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status throughout the shift, documenting changes promptly and accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication compliance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies and provide high-quality critical care interventions as required.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN License to practice in the State of New York.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills with the ability to make sound medical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting patients.
