Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to established medical protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and code blue alerts.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and HIPAA compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York (or Florida for remote roles).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient safety and quality of care.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with electronic medical records.
