As a part-time Registered Nurse at Apex, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare team, providing compassionate care and ensuring the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide patient education and discharge planning support to promote recovery and prevent readmission.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergencies within your scope of practice.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
