Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams and medical history reviews.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor patient progress and intervene immediately when changes in condition are detected.
- Document all clinical findings, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and their families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication management.
- Collaborate with nursing colleagues to ensure continuity of care and a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
