Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms to detect any changes that require immediate medical attention.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, post-treatment care, and health maintenance strategies.
- Document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide direct patient care and emotional support to individuals and families during critical times.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- CPR (Basic Life Support) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EMR) is a plus.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
