Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status continuously, intervening promptly during medical emergencies.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) required; ACLS and PALS preferred based on unit specialty.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
