Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses to interventions, escalating critical issues immediately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care for patients.
- Document patient progress, outcomes, and any changes in condition accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education to promote understanding of treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications must be current.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
