Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments via phone or in-person to determine the acuity of medical conditions.
- Prioritize patient care based on clinical urgency and established triage protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers regarding treatment plans.
- Document patient interactions, assessments, and care instructions accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Coordinate patient referrals to appropriate specialists or emergency services when necessary.
- Provide health education and counseling to patients and caregivers.
- Monitor and follow up on patient outcomes to ensure quality of care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Colorado.
- ACLS and BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an emergency room or urgent care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage high-volume patient inquiries.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
