Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive phone and in-person patient assessments to determine the urgency of medical conditions.
- Apply critical thinking and clinical protocols to differentiate between urgent and non-urgent situations.
- Provide detailed patient education regarding symptoms, treatment plans, and preventative care.
- Document all patient interactions and triage findings accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers to facilitate appropriate referrals and follow-ups.
- Manage patient inquiries with empathy and efficiency, ensuring a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in Nebraska.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with a preference for triage or urgent care experience.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is required.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and computer systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
