Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency and critical care settings
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and NY State regulations
- Respond effectively to rapid response and code blue situations
Qualifications
- Valid NY State RN license (required)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 3+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (required)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
