Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and treatment monitoring
- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and hospital protocols
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- BSN degree or equivalent experience (ADN with 2+ years acute care)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in acute care or specialty unit
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends as needed
