Responsibilities
- Assess patients' health status by performing physical examinations and obtaining health histories.
- Diagnose and treat acute, chronic, and critical illnesses, often in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
