Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical guidelines.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly reporting any changes or deteriorating conditions to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation of all patient care activities and interventions.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, infection control policies, and Joint Commission standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Kentucky.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
