Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with medical orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care provided accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and critical care needs.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- ACLS and PALS certifications preferred based on unit assignment.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
