Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and therapists to coordinate optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required; BSN preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred for certain units.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment.
