Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical histories accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and follow nursing protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-care instructions.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and thorough documentation in electronic health records.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and alarms to ensure safety and well-being.
- Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and their families during critical times.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing procedures, and patient safety standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and work collaboratively within a team.
