Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on medical standards.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor patient vitals and response to interventions, reporting any changes immediately to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document all patient interactions, care provided, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Participate in patient and family education regarding discharge planning and home care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license issued by the State of California.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required (PALS preferred for pediatric units).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as necessary and stand for extended periods.
