Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain a safe environment.
- Medication reminders and monitoring of client health status as directed by nursing staff.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities as needed.
- Document daily care logs and communicate any changes in patient condition to supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is a plus but not always required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to perform caregiving duties, including lifting and assisting patients.
