Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment coordination
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patient progress and document electronic health records with precision
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
- Adhere to JCAHO standards and hospital protocols for safety and compliance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in District of Columbia (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in acute care setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic medical documentation systems
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered care with cultural competence
