Our Weekend Shift RNs play a critical role in maintaining continuity of care while providing specialized attention to patients during off-peak hours. This role offers unique opportunities for career growth and skill development in a dynamic urban setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care assessments and interventions in assigned units
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and documentation accuracy
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and hospital safety protocols
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families
- Participate in weekend shift huddles and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license in good standing
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced weekend environments
