As a Weekend Shift RN, you will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and clinical excellence during peak care times. You will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals dedicated to making a difference in the Colorado Springs community.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments with strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and report any significant changes to the charge nurse immediately.
- Document all clinical interactions and patient outcomes accurately in the EMR system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and visitors.
- Participate in weekend rounds and handover procedures to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are considered.
- Strong commitment to patient advocacy and ethical nursing practices.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
