Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure immediate intervention when necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the broader healthcare team to optimize patient recovery.
- Document patient care activities, including observations and changes in condition, accurately and timely in the EHR system.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication side effects, and post-discharge care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with all safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, with exposure to medical-surgical or critical care preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to perform under pressure in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
