Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond immediately to any changes in condition or medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide patient education and emotional support to families and patients regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
