Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physicians' orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team immediately.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, treatments, and clinical observations.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (Med/Surg, ICU, or ER experience highly valued).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient advocacy and quality care.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods as required by the nursing role.
