Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on medical history and current status.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and patient progress continuously, reporting critical changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Document patient care activities, including updates on conditions and treatment responses, in electronic medical records.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (Travel/Agency experience a plus).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as necessary throughout the shift.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
