Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to any changes in condition or medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and self-care management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kentucky.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; NRP, PALS, or CEN preferred based on specialty.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Computer proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary.
